The Urban Task Force (UTF) is an incorporated society formed to represent Tauranga’s property industry on behalf of all property owners, developers, managers, and business professionals associated with the sector.

Our purpose is to provide the following to the community of Tauranga:

Powerful Property Leadership

UTF provides powerful, knowledgeable leadership to local and central government, and key stakeholders in local business, economic and iwi sectors. Our contributions encourage informed strategic decision-making.

Advocacy for Positive Planning & Investment Decisions

UTF advocates for planning and investment decisions which create meaningful changes to the current state of Tauranga City.

Promotion of Growth & Collaboration

UTF is committed to promoting growth and collaboration for the future. A new leadership model of collaborative, innovative thinking across central Government, local Government, iwi, and the private sector will lead the city to a positive future.

UTF will focus on specific goals of increasing land supply, attracting central Government funding, investment in transport, infrastructure, education, and civic amenities for the benefit of the whole community.
